The tale of Bilbo Baggins gained great popularity – and gave Tolkien the inspiration for the Lord of the Rings trilogy; at the heart of the story of the formation of the one ring that gave enormous power to the holder, including invisibility. The story describes how the ring was created and passed from beast to dwarf to human – until it was finally destroyed at the end of an arduous journey full of hardships.

The story describes the battle between good and evil, with mighty forces standing on each side – and at the heart of all this again stands a little hobbit, this time Frodo, Bilbo’s nephew, who plays a decisive role.
